Applying

The application times to programmes at the folk high schools vary by school and programme. The application times normally take place during spring and summer. Apply either by a free-form application or an application form from the school.

To vocational education and training programmes you apply mainly through continuous admission, flexibly all year round. It is always worth asking for possible openings all year from the contact persons at the schools.

Those who have graduated from basic education and general upper secondary education can apply for studies at folk high schools through the joint application system during spring. For example applying to TUVA education or Folk high school year for youth of compulsory education age takes place in the joint application system. It is possible to apply to both educations also through continuous admission, flexibly all year round.  This also applies to some of the vocational education and training programmes available at folk high schools.
